Hi, my name is Michelle Holfelder and welcome to my personal website. Obviously you’re here to learn more about me and what I can do…so let’s get started! Here you'll find some photos that I've taken over the years of things that interest me…nature, reptiles, dogs that I've owned, vehicles that we have had in the past. I hope you enjoy these photos as much as I have taking them! The nature photos will be available for sale in the near future.
I was born and raised in southeastern Michigan (near Detroit) to a Catholic family as the youngest of 4 children. We had a good upbringing and education, went on family vacations to Chicago, Florida, Mackinac Island & Toronto. I've had dogs ever since I was 5 years old (you will see a lot of dog photos on this site!). Which takes me to another hobby of mine….photography! I love taking photos of our dogs (since they’re only in our lives for too short of time), nature (birds, squirrels, etc), my dad’s race cars that he raced at Milan, Ubly and Columbus, OH and restored several times (I helped him a few times when he came home with a broken car at midnight from the track) and recipes that we’ve collected over the years (I can’t say that I’ve tried these but I love to bake cheesecakes!). Aside from those hobbies, I also enjoy learning about astronomy and researching my family genealogy. I have 2 nieces and 1 nephew so it’s important to me that they know where they came from and know their ancestors.
Now on to my work history. I started working in real estate (at MCAR-Macomb County Association of Realtors) back in 2000 then moved over to the MLS (Multiple Listing Service) part time as data entry. From there, I went to a real estate office within 1 mile of my house that I stayed at for nearly 10 years working as a real estate assistant. I was (and still am!) very proficient and time-effective at my job that I was told by several brokers that I should get my real estate license. Well, I tried but there’s a lot to learn just about the laws that I honestly couldn’t remember. One day soon I’ll try again and succeed.
In my spare time, besides my hobbies that I listed above, I’m also a lifetime member of my local VFW 1146 Bruce Post (thank you dad & my grandfathers for their service!), I enjoy working on websites, swimming, sewing, traveling, going on long bike rides, taking long walks and playing with my dogs daily (when the weather is right). So, you’ll see quite a bit of my dogs on here!
This site is a work in progress, but I appreciate you taking the time to visit and please keep coming back for updates!
